After the pair were seen publicly together for the first time at the NBA finals on Saturday, it’s been confirmed by a source close to the couple that singer-songwriter Adele and LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, have been dating for “a few months”
The couple were cuddled up next to each other during the game; and after the match ended, Brian Windhorst of ESPN told listeners that Rich Paul, 40, brought “his girlfriend to the game to sit next to LeBron.”
“Rich Paul is at the game with Adele. LeBron is watching the game with Adele. This is the first time that they’ve come out in public together,” Windhorst added.
So far, there hasn’t been a statement from Paul or Adele themselves, but Paul seems to have referenced a then-casual relationship with the singer during a New Yorker profile released in May.
In a conversation with his advisor Adam Mendelsohn, Paul said “She was over yesterday.” When Mendelsohn went on to clarify who Paul meant, he allegedly dropped the “name of a major pop star,” to which Paul replied “I’m not dating. I’m single. Put that in the story.”
Meanwhile, a source told PEOPLE that back in October, Adele was “having fun” with rapper Brit Skepta.
It’s unclear at this point when, exactly Adele and Paul may have gotten together (assuming they consider themselves an exclusive couple), but speculations surrounding their relationship seem to be gaining ground in the wake of statements like Windhorst’s.
Since her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki in 2019, a source says Adele has “been a lot more social and [has] opened up quite a bit.”
