In an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Country superstar and coach of The Voice, Blake Shelton, may have revealed the song he and Gwen Stafani are going to dance to at their wedding!
During the interview, host Jimmy Fallon asked the musician, “What’s your first song? Can you tell me?”
“I think it’s called the Wedding March,” Shelton teased. Fallon and Shelton then went into a playful back-and-forth with each other.
“Not that song,” Fallon clarified.
Fallon went on to add: “At the reception, you come out of a fog machine, ‘Here is Mr. & Mrs. Blake Shelton!’ We hear you come out — ‘And now, it’s time for the couple’s first dance’ — then what do we hear?”
Finally understanding which song Fallon was referring to, Shelton tells him, “It’s ‘If You Leave’ from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack.”
Shelton continued, “We talked about this. We both love the song. We’re both fans of the ’80s, why not? Don’t you think that would be a great one, though? We’ve literally talked about that.”
Fallon excited, exclaiming, “I love it if that’s for real!”
Stefani and Shelton are going to sing the iconic ballad originally released by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, made popular by the iconic 1986 romantic comedy.
Shelton and Stafani announced in October that they got engaged in an Instagram post on each of their accounts.
While Shelton on his Instagram account captioned the photo saying, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life..I love you. I heard a YES!”
While wedding details have been kept on the down-low, Stefani knows they will keep the wedding very simple. There might even be a performance from The Voice alum Adam Levine.
