Bobby Bones & Caitlin Parker Tie the Knot in Intimate At-Home Ceremony

American Idol mentor Bobby Bones and Caitlin Parker got married on Saturday in an intimate ceremony in their Nashville home.

In aPEOPLE exclusive, Bones and Parker shared their decision to get married in their home. “We love home. We picked this place out together — that was really one of the first decisions that we made as a couple. And so she thought, ‘What if we got married here?'” commented Bones.

“It was such a big gesture for Bobby to want to get a home for us both, that had some of my touches. We got to start fresh. For me, it really wasn’t even a question. It was just — if we’re getting married in Nashville, we’re getting married at the house,” adds Parker.

Their backyard was morphed into the wedding venue of their wildest dreams, thanks to the luxury wedding and event planner, Ninth & Everett, which is owned by Josiah Carr. Flowers were everywhere while the couple’s initials lit up the yard. During the cocktail hour, it was reported that string quartet Viva La Strong played while floating in the couple’s pool.

Bones & Parker decided not to have a first look ahead of the ceremony, “I will not see her until she’s walking down the aisle,” commented Bones.

The groomsmen, including tennis pro Andy Roddick, walked in while The Office theme song played. The couple’s dogs also went down the aisle. While everyone walked down the aisle, Parker was awaiting the special moment when her father would hand her off to Bones.

“I am so close with my dad and he’s just the perfect example of what a man should be to his wife and his daughters,” said Parker.

For their wedding look, Bones choose to wear a custom suit with a bow tie by Alton Lane. While the bride wore a lace embroidered gown by Galia Lahav and completed her look with hair by Sarah Klein and makeup by Marz Collins.

Guest, including country music stars Dierks Bently, Jake Owens, Chick Wicks, enjoyed a night of dinner and dancing. For the couple’s first dance, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay sang Jesse and the Rippers version of The Beach Boys’ “Forever”, for the newlywed’s first dance.

As for the honeymoon? “There’s a little motel about a mile from the house, so we’re going to go stay for a day,” Bones joked. He then confirmed he will be enjoying a brief break. “I’ve never taken two weeks off of work!”
