In a new unscripted series, Peacock’s Unidentified with Demi Lovato, the singer, alongside their sister Dallas and best friend Matthew, will seek to learn the truth behind UFOs.
Lovato announced the show on Tuesday in a tweet:
“SURPRISEEEEE!!! I’m hitting the road for an out-of-this-world adventure for my new show Unidentified & I’m taking you guys along for the ride.”
SURPRISEEEEE!!! I’m hitting the road for an out-of-this-world adventure for my new show Unidentified & I’m taking you guys along for the ride ✨💕🛸 Coming soon to @peacockTV!! I can’t wait to share more 🥰😝 pic.twitter.com/al06B7ASa1— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) May 11, 2021
The four-part limited series comes on the heels of other recent projects from Lovato, like their Youtube Docuseries Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil and their role as the star of NBC’s Hungry.
Peacock’s summary of the show reads:
“While consulting with leading experts, Demi, Dallas and Matthew will investigate recent eyewitness encounters, uncover secret government reports, and conduct tests at known UFO hot spots. Demi is a true believer, and during this courageous adventure, she [sic] hopes to convince her [sic] friends, family and her [sic] millions of followers that not only are there intelligent beings beyond Earth but that they are already here!”
As the star and executive producer of the new show, Lovato wants to dive deeper into potential extraterrestrial life on earth and potentially even prompt some close encounters, according to a report by HuffPost.
Lovato has allegedly had such encounters in the past, including one they documented in a video posted to their Instagram account last October. The post, recorded from Joshua Tree National Park, also included a statement about the experience. “This is just some of the evidence from under the stars in the desert sky that can no longer be ignored and must be shared immediately,” said a portion of the post.
There is no word so far as to when the series will premiere.
