Jared Drake Bell, better known as Drake Bell, and now known as Drake Campana, is fessing up to crimes he committed against a minor back in 2017.
Bell was charged this month with attempted child endangerment as details surrounding an interaction he had with a minor back while he was touring America came to light. The relationship started online, with Bell allegedly sending inappropriate messages over social media for months.
Most of the charges stem from the events that took place on December 1, 2017, in Cleveland at one of Bell’s concerts. The victim—who was 15 at the time—came to the show where the artist engaged in an explicit and inappropriate conversation with her.
The unnamed victim returned to Canada, where she would later file a complaint with the Canadian Police in October of the following year. The Canadian police contacted authorities in Cleveland and launched an investigation from there.
Drake was charged earlier this month but maintained his innocence until his trial last week. The charges fall short of accusing Bell of assault of any kind. Instead, the Cleveland police concluded he “violated his duty of care” and are charging him with child endangerment. This could see Bell in prison for a maximum of 18 months, with the judge warning that Bell’s activities could be limited for the following three years.
Over the weekend, he spent his 35th birthday at Disneyland. The artist was spotted in what appears to be a wedding ring during an afternoon at the park with an unidentified woman and child. Bell is out on a $2,500 bond until his sentencing and hearing on July 12th.
