On Sunday, Jake Paul beat former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, in a split decision victory. This is Paul’s fourth win in his professional fighting career.
Just after the match, the two fighters agreed to a rematch in the ring.
The first three rounds of the match were seemingly uneventful, with Paul clearly winning them. However, things started heating up in the fourth round when Woodley landed a major shot to Paul’s face.
Paul appeared exhausted after the blow, giving Woodley a chance to win, but he couldn’t make up the points that Paul had from the first few rounds.
According to scorecards, the judges only agreed on the first two rounds of the boxing match. Judge Phil Rogers gave Woodley a 10-9 win in the final five rounds while Dana DePaolo gave the final four rounds to Paul.
During his post-fight interview, Woodley instantly called for a rematch with the social media star.
Paul shrugged off the demand at first, but then said he would accept a rematch only if Woodley got a tattoo that says “I love Jake Paul,” which was apparently the result of a pre-fight bet.
Other celebrities attended the fight including comedian Dave Chapelle who was jumping up and down from behind the ring.
When discussing future opponents, Paul has mostly limited himself to MMA fighters, including a big push for Conor McGregor. He has also called for a fight against Jorge Masvidal.
