Jason Momoa continues to put family first after his split from Lisa Bonet in January.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the Aquaman star thanked fans for “being generous and giving us space for the children,” further stating that “it’s hard enough separating in the public eye.”
The post also mentioned the wonderful times Momoa and his children have had in New York City supporting step-daughter Zoë Kravitz at the release of her new movie, The Batman.
While Bonet and Lenny Kravitz couldn’t make it to the premier to support their daughter in person, Momoa and his children with Bonet—14 year-old daughter Lola and 13 year-old son Nakoa Wolf—made sure Zoë was well-supported as they walked the red carpet.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Game of Thrones actor gave some insight as to how the family was adjusting to the split, saying “We’re just so proud. Lisa couldn’t be here so we’re representing, me and the babies. We’re very excited to just be here… It’s still family, you know?”
Momoa was also accompanied by Zoë Kravitz’s boyfriend, Channing Tatum, at the premier. In an earlier Instagram post with Tatum, Momoa voiced his excitement for the premier, with the caption, “CHEEEEHUUUUUUUU. SO EXCITED @channingtatum and I are on our way to see our ZOZO. finally @thebatman premiere.”
E! News first reported on speculation about Kravitz and Tatum’s relationship in January 2021, followed by more concrete confirmation of the relationship when the stars were photographed holding hands last October.
As for Momoa and Bonet’s relationship, it seems they will continue living up to their initial statement about the end of their relationship, which read, “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other – to be who we are learning to become…Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children. Teaching our children what’s possible – Living the prayer. May love prevail.”
