On Thursday, July 22, Kanye West held a listening party for his upcoming album, Donda, at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
About 40,000 fans came to support the rapper Thursday night for the listening party. Donda is the 10th studio LP and it’s named for his mother, who died in 2007 from plastic surgery complications at age 58.
Shortly after, TMZ reported that the rapper is actually living in the stadium to finish the album and that what fans heard isn’t the final version.
According to sources, “Kanye and team have created a studio space, living quarters, and even have a chef to prepare his meals” inside the stadium.
West will also be skipping his performance at Rolling Loud in Miami to stay at the stadium and finish the album.
Ye! was spotted by fans at MBS that Saturday at the Atlanta United FC game, sporting the same outfit from the listening party, pantyhose mask and all.
West said that he’s aiming for an August 6th release date. It’s unclear if any totally new tracks will come from Kanye’s stadium visit, or if he’s just playing around with the sounds.
