Former child star Lindsay Lohan has announced her return to acting!
The star is set to hit the silver screen with a Christmas-themed romantic comedy set to begin production in November. Although her fans will have to wait for a while to watch the movie, we are aware of some of the movie’s details.
The title hasn’t been released yet, but according to Variety, we do know Lohan will be playing “a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress” who develops amnesia as a result of a skiing accident. The character then “finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
While the rest of the cast has yet to be revealed, fans are surely eager to see the Mean Girls alum back in action.
Lohan found fame at just 11-years-old when The Parent Trap reboot became a hit in 1998. She followed that success with Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, which both went on to be massive hits.
Despite her early success, the public attention on Lohan quickly turned sour as personal issues kept her away from work. Soon after, the constant hounding by the paparazzi made everything worse. In the early 2010s, Lohan took a step back from full-time acting and has been focusing on smaller side projects since.
In 2013 she took a small toll in the movie called The Canyons, followed by a role in a British comedy called Sick Note. Most recently, she has appeared as a judge on the Australian version of The Masked Singer and starred in her own MTV reality show, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, in 2018.
We can only hope she knocks it out of the park next Christmas.
