Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson is sharing his thoughts on Elon Musk after the show has faced criticism in recent days since announcing that the Tesla CEO would host.
In an interview with Seth Meyers, Davidson said, “I don’t know why people are freaking out. They’re like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe that Elon Musk is hosting!’ And I’m like, the guy that makes the earth better kinda and makes cool things and sends people to Mars?”
According to Entertainment Weekly, Davidson revealed that he hasn’t met Musk before and is looking forward to going out to dinner with him.
Other cast members of SNL have spoken out after Musk tweeted, “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is.”

Bowen Yang shared a frowning face on his Instagram story about the tweet. Aidy Bryant reacted to the news by sharing a tweet that stated, “The 50 wealthiest people in America today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people.”
Both Yang and Bryant have deleted their posts about Musk.
Musk has drawn criticism in the past few years for broadcasting his anti-union statements, sharing misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic, and general online trolling.
The Tesla and SpaceX billionaire told Page Six that everyone is friendly and working with him on the set.
Musk asked for skit ideas on his Twitter account and threw out trending topics like “Woke James Bond” and “Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank.”
You can catch the new episode of Musk hosting SNL on Saturday, May 8.
