Pink took the stage at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards with her 9-year-old daughter Willow Sage Hart. The mother-daughter duo performed an aerial duet during “Cover Me in Sunshine” that stole the show.
The “So What” singer opened the BBMAs with a medley of songs, starting with “Cover Me in Sunshine.” Willow accompanied her mom on stage to help perform the song that features her vocals. During the first chorus, the pair then took to the sky to complete a series of mirrored acrobatic aerial sequences for the remainder of the song.
Pink and Willow shared a warm embrace and a high-five before she skipped off stage.
Pink’s complete medley performance included hits “Just Give Me a Reason,” “Blow Me (One Last Kiss),” “Get the Party Started,” “Just Like a Pill,” “So What,” and “Who Knew.” She also debuted her new song “All I Know So Far” which was released on May 21.
Pink also received this year’s Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
Jon Bon Jovi presented the singer with her award, acknowledging her incredible performances on stage and her dedication to her fans.
“Tonight, we raise our glasses to celebrate and honor Pink,” Bon Jovi said.
In her acceptance speech, Pink said, “I love what I do and love the people that I get to do it with. We’re pretty good at what we do, but it wouldn’t matter if no one came to see us and play with us.”
“All you guys out there and around the world, thank you for coming out and letting us all heal together,” she continued. “This is an absolute honor. Dream big, because what if it comes true.”
