Hannah Lee Fowler has filed for divorce from Sam Hunt, an American country singer and songwriter. The pair, who have been married since 2017, are currently expecting their first child together.
Fowler, 33, has alleged that the “Body Like a Back Road” singer has cheated on her. According to documents filed on February 18, Fowler claims that Hunt, 37, is guilty of “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.”
Additionally, Fowler’s appeal reads, “The husband is guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment or conduct toward the spouse as renders cohabitation unsafe or improper.”
According to these documents, Fowler is requesting alimony, child support, primary custody of their child, and for each of the parties to be “awarded their respective separate property.”
The couple had not revealed Fowler’s pregnancy, but the pair’s divorce documents revealed that their child is due in May 2022.
In July 2021, Hunt revealed that he and Fowler were seriously considering having kids.
“We’ve been talking about it for a while, but we’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now,” he said. “And I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later.”
Hunt’s 2014 studio album Montevallo is about their relationship and how they met in an Alabama town with the same name. However, Hunt apologized for pulling her into the limelight with the lyrics of his 2017 song “Drinkin’ Too Much.”
The pair were expected to have celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in April 2022.
