Scooter Braun Files for Divorce From Wife Yael Cohen After 7 Years

Music manager Scooter Braun has filed for divorce from his wife of seven years, Yael Cohen.

TMZ was the first to report the news and revealed that the couple has a prenup in place. The filing also revealed that the music manager, who represents Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato, asked for joint custody of their three kids, Jagger, 6, Levi, 4, and Hart, 2½, and he has even agreed to pay Cohen spousal support.

According to PEOPLE, a source confirmed, that the couple were separating after seven years of marriage but were still trying to work on things. The news of their divorce comes just 10 days after announcing their separation.

“Their friendship is the best it’s ever been, but they’re taking some time apart to sort things out. So many couples went through this during the pandemic. They love each other and just need some time apart and will hopefully bounce back for their kids,” confirmed the source.

The music manager proposed to Cohen, who served as CEO of F— Cancer in his L.A. home in January 2014. The couple wed later that year in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

On July 6, Braun shared a picture on his Instagram from their wedding, giving tribute to his wife.

Writing, “If just for the kids you have given me everything. But thanks to you I have grown, I have been pushed to be the best version of myself and to continue growing and learning. That all happened because you came in to [sic] my life. 7 years. The adventure is just beginning. Thank you Yae. I love you. Happy anniversary.

He also commented in the comments section of his post, saying “A Team 4lyfe.

While making an appearance on Ashley Graham’s podcast Pretty Big Deal, Braun talked about how supportive Cohen was and helped him balance his work life.

“I found that people who have a foundation of family — whether it be with the family they make with their friends, the family they start, or the family they already had — they’re able to sustain a lot better because that’s what really matters,” Braun said. Going on to add, “I don’t think I actually figured it out until I met my wife Yael.”
